Veteran Tollywood actor and former Union Minister U. V. Krishnam Raju was cremated with state honours near here on Monday.

Family members, friends, Tollywood celebrities and fans bid tearful adieu to Raju, who was popular as the ‘rebel’ star.

The last rites were performed in his farm house at Moinabad near Hyderabad.

Raju’s nephew ‘Bahubali’ star Prabhas, Jagapati Babu, and leaders of various political parties paid their last respects to Raju, who passed away on Sunday. Prabhas was seen assisting in the last rites.

Hyderabad:Veteran Tollywood actor Krishnam Raju dies at 83.

Earlier, Raju’s body was brought to Moinabad in a procession from his house at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.

As per the direction given by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, authorities made arrangements for the cremation with state honours.

Police personnel presented a gun salute and opened fire in the air as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Cyberabad police had made elaborate security arrangements for the funeral. Only those having permission from Raju’s family were allowed into the farm house.

Raju breathed his last at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad on Sunday after prolonged illness. He was 83 and survived by wife and three daughters.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the demise of Veteran telugu cinematic personality, Krishnam Raju Garu.

The Prime Minister tweeted;

“Saddened by the passing away of Shri UV Krishnam Raju Garu. The coming generations will remember his cinematic brilliance and creativity. He was also at the forefront of community service and made a mark as a political leader. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

Prabhas is hoping for the grand release and success of his 20th film, still unnamed but referred as ‘Prabhas 20’, which is likely tobe released this year once the coronavirus quarantine ends. Prabhas-20 is a romantic entertainer movie directed by KK Radha Krishna and produced by Gopi Krishna in association with UV creations banner.

The movie cast includes Prabhas and Pooja Hegde are in the main lead roles. The story line revolves around a beautiful love story in the 1960s and early 70s in Europe.

His next film will be with Mahanati director Nag Ashwin, to be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, who has completed 50 years in the industry. Vyjayanthi Movies celebrated the milestone with a new film announcement that they will be bankrolling Nag Ashwin’s film with actor Prabhas. Reportedly, this film will be a pan-Indian venture in multiple languages. Details regarding the film’s genre, the cast and crew will be announced soon.

In his Instagrampost, Prabhas earlier stated, “Elated to share that I’m resuming shooting for my upcoming film. Looking forward to a fun schedule.” The film was originally scheduled for release on October 16, 2020 but the coronavirus lockdown may pushthe schedule of the film.

Prabhas, who gained immeasurable fandom after his glorious performance in the epic two part film of Baahubali, gained huge popularity in the nation and the whole wide world. He has lit the cinemas aflame with his substantial presence whenever he has made an appearance on-screen.

The makers of Saaho are creating a huge buzz once again by having a beautifully crafted ‘World Of Saaho’ at multiplexes across 30 states of India, after treating us with the trailer which was premium with its rich content quality and breathtaking visual depictions.

Talking about ‘World Of Saaho’, the multiplexes are decorated with the posters as well as the name blocks of the movie. This beautiful world was unveiled for all the masses on the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August 2019. Not a single nook of the multiplexes was spared. After Saaho, Shraddha Kapoor gears up for back-to-back releases

Actress Shraddha Kapoor has been busy juggling between the sets of three films — Saaho, Chhichhore and Street Dancer 3D, this year. This year is not only a busy year for Shraddha but the actress has taken it a notch higher with good projects.
Currently, Shraddha will have two projects releasing within a span of one week- Saaho and Chhichhore. But what’s the good part is Shraddha whose Saaho and Chhichhore were releasing on the same day on 30th August, the makers have shifted Chhichhore to 6th September so it’s a sigh of relief to Shraddha.
However, the makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial shifted the college caper a week ahead, making way for Saaho to be a solo release. As a result, the Stree actress will have two releases back-to-back.
Talking about her films, Shraddha Kapoor says, “Throughout this year, I’ve been juggling the shoot of three films and travelling to different places for them. Now, it is ironic that two of those films are releasing just one week apart.”
The actress says that it is the first time that something like this is happening to her. “Promoting two films at the same time is going to be hectic, but I am excited about both the projects, especially, because they are so different from one other.”

Telugu actor and former Tourism minister Chiranjeevi has denied rumours spreading on the social media that ‘Baahubali’ fame Prabhas is going to marry his niece Niharika. The veteran Telugu actor has refuted all the rumours as baseless.

Niharika Konidela, daughter of Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagendra Babu, is not new to Telugu film industry . She made her debut with the film "Oka Manasu" in 2016 and her banner Pink Elephant Pictures is known for its web series under the name "Muddapappu Avakai", which is quite popular among the Telugu audience.

Niharika had hosted dance reality show Dhee Juniors, aired on ETV Telugu before entering the film indsutry. Currently, she is busy with the shooting of "Happy Wedding", to be released later this year.

Prabhas, who deferred his marriage plans for about four years during the shooting of Bahubali 1 and 2, was rumoured to have become closer to Anushka Shetty but both of them have denied it, disappointing many fans who wanted the Bahubali 2 pair to be realtime couple as well.

Later, there were rumours that a Vizag industrialist daughter would be the bride for Bahubali hero but it proved futile soon. Prabhas, who is a nephew of a veteran Telugu actor former BJP minister at the centre, Krishnam Raju, was not new to marriage rumours ever since he revealed to media after Bahubali that his mother would select a bride for him.

Currently, Prabhas is busy with Sujeeth Reddy’s film ‘Saaho’, a futuristic action film with breathtaking action sequences, death-defying stunts and jaw-dropping visual effects.

Apart from Prabhas, other cast include mostly Bollywood names such as Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday and Mandira Bedi. Scheduled for release in early 2019, the film will be followed by another film by Prabhas with Mohenjo Daro fame Pooja Hegde.

Anushka Shetty Not to Feature in Prabhas’s ‘Saaho’ but in ‘Bagmati’

The famous Baahubali 2 duo Prabhas and Anushka Shetty are unlikely to act together again in Prabhas’s upcoming film ‘Saaho’ and reports suggested that neither the actress nor the makers of the film have confirmed about her cast in the Sujeeth directorial venture.

With an excellent roles in the most successful film of India, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, the duo has been in news first for their marriage plan and for pairing again in the most-awaited Prabhas’s upcoming film ‘Saaho’. While the marriage rumours were stoutly denied immediately by the actress whose parents confirmed that they are looking for a match for her, Prabhas’s family has apparently looking for a bride in their known families in Vizag.

Now even the second rumour has been denied by the reports which said the actress is acting in another film by the same banner which is producing ‘Saaho’. However, some reports have attributed not featuring her in ‘Saaho’ to her weight, which the actress gained for the film ‘Size Zero’ and reduced it stunning everyone on the sets of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’.

A report in IndiaTV, quoting sources, said, “These reports about Anushka are false because she’s not yet confirmed. The makers are yet to take a call. They’ll take a decision soon. Everyone is speculating that Anushka is finalised for Saaho because the same banner is producing a film called Bhagmati, which stars Anushka in the lead.”

“It’s not like she’s overweight or anything. She’s looking good and she’s acting in one more film. She gained weight for Size Zero, but that was two years ago, and after that, she did Baahubali and she looked very much in shape,” the source said.

 

‘Bahubali 2’ Telugu Rights Sold for Rs. 26 Cr to Zee Network

The satellite rights of “Baahubali: The Conclusion” (Telugu version) starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati has been sold to Zee Network for a whopping Rs.26 crore, said publicists for the film.

“satellite rights have been acquired by Zee Network for a whopping price of Rs 26C, which would surpass the record of “Baahubali,” said #Mahesh, publicist for the film.

Ever since the shocking leak of 8-minute climax war scene leak of director S S Rajamouli’s “Baahubali: The Conclusion” (Bahubali 2), the post-production has gone into utmost secrecy in Hyderabad and 60 other digital studios all over the country.

The curiosity value is so high that if any leak over the country-wide question of “Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?” is still keeping the momentum on the public pulse. “The producers and director SS Rajamouli are huddled together about the next move. All post-production has been halted until a method to prevent further damage is found,” said a source to Deccan Chronicle.

Bahubali publicist Mahesh S Koneru has denied that there is any delay in post-production work over the leak but conceded that security has become more strict over the post-production process. He said, “Access has become more strict and more security measures are in place.”

It is unlikely that the storyline will be leaked as it was written by SS Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad and kept secret throughout the shooting period of the film.

Otherwise, S.S. Rajamouli is content that the film has come off well. In a latest twitter message he said it was 25 years after that the VR technology is being used. “After 25 years in film industry venturing into VR for the first time. First shooting day of SWORD OF BAAHUBALI,” he said.
