Soundarya, younger daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, blessed with second baby boy

Chennai, Sep 12 (IANS) Director Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is also the younger daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, has now been blessed with a second baby — a boy.

The producer and her husband Vishagan have named the little one as Veer Rajinikanth. Taking to social media, Soundarya Rajinikanth made the announcement.

Posting a series of pictures that were shot during her pregnancy, she said: “With God’s abundant grace and our parents blessingsa Vishagan, Ved and I are thrilled to welcome Ved’s little brother Veer Rajinikanth Vanangamudi today 11/9/22.”

“A huge thank you to our amazing doctors Sumana Manohar, Dr.Srividya Seshadri,” she wrote. Several celebrities, friends, fans and well wishers have been congratulating the couple. Director Gitanjali Selvaraghavan, the wife of director Selvaraghavan, too was among those who congratulated Soundarya. She wrote, “Congratulations Mittu, Vishagan and Ved!!! Welcome to the world Veer!”

Rajamouli, Rajinikanth Support 8-day Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 201 Districts OD Free

After 8 days of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 201 Districts are ODF now. Swacchata Hi Seva campaign has fostered collaborations, across the country, to fight against the evils of open defecation. In a major milestone, the rural sanitation coverage has increased with 4 districts being declared ODF today taking the total tally to 201.

After a week of the Swacchata Hi Seva campaign, the movement received support from Bollywood. Superstar Rajinikanth responded to the government’s call by committing to extend full support to Swachhata. Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli also extended full support to the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign.

In Balasore, Odisha scientists and staff members of Interim Test Range (ITR) Chandipur, picked up brooms and cleaned roads. As a part of on-going Swachhata Hi Seva programme, several activities have been taken up across Assam.

In response to the government’s invite to be a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, famous breast cancer expert, Dr P Raghu Ram (Director City Based KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre, President Association of Breast Surgeons of India), stated, “ I have Decided to conduct the Swachhata Iniative in Ibrahimpur, my adopted village, in remotest part of Telangana State”.

The students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bihar garnered support to the Swacchata Hi Seva campaign, by undertaking cleanliness drive in their school. The young mascots of Swachhata Hi Seva andolan, undertook numerous activities.

India Tourism, along with Gujarat Tourism, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Gandhinagar, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Hoteliers and Approved Guides organized a cleanliness drive at the Shaking Minarets, a world heritage site.

Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ Teaser Crosses 18 Million Views

The much-awaited teaser of superstar Rajinikanth starrer "Kabali" that was launched on Sunday, May 1 has crossed 18 million views as of May 17, making it one of the record-breaking Youtube trends in film industry. In fact, within minutes of hitting YouTube, the video clip went viral on all social media platforms.

The one-minute-seven-second teaser emerged as one of the fastest viewed teasers and within an hour of its release, crossed 1 million views on YouTube, making it the highest so far for a South Indian film. The teaser has bagged more than 6 million views within 24 hours of its release.

According to Whacked Out Media, who are optimizing the promotional material on YouTube, “#KabaliTeaser” trended on microblogging site Twitter on the release day and bagged a place on the worldwide trend list with around 60,000 users tweeting about it at once which reached out to more than 6.6 million people.

After the makers unveiled a new poster of Rajinikanth ahead of the release of teaser, the upcoming film was also one among the top trends on Facebook.

Rajinikanth is back with a bang and took the internet by storm with his new look. Sporting a smart beard and delivering powerful dialogues Rajinikanth plays Kabali, a gangster. The look of the star will remind fans of the good old Rajinikanth days.

The film is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations, with an ensemble cast of Radhika Apte, Attakathi Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansika, John Vijay and Kishore, the film managed to grab the attention of audience with the teaser. Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film”s release is slated for later this year.
