Facebook has offered a new feature to delete unwanted Apps and Websites with a new feature but offers no solace if you have already submitted your info to third parties via Facebook in the past.

Promising to protect your information, Facebook said it is easier to delete any unwanted App, which was made cumbersome and difficult to delete in the past. The feature has been made easier now due to the onslaught the social media platform is facing from the world governments and users alike.

How to Delete Apps on Facebook:

Go to ‘Settings’ and see ‘Apps and Websites’ you have subscribed to or used in the past through your Facebook account.

The page will list all Active, Expired and Removed apps you have used in the past. Here, the user can select the App or Website.

The message shows 2 options:

View and update the info these Apps and websites can request, and
Option to remove the Apps and Websites the user no longer wants.

The page shows the REMOVE button. Once you press the REMOVE button, the following message will appear:

"If you remove (NAME of APP), it may delete your APP account and activity. APP may still have access to info you previously shared but can’t make additional requests for additional info."

Next, the user can also opt for another feature: "Delete all posts, photos and videos on Facebook that the APP may have published on your behalf." Here you have to press DELETE and the following message appears:

"APP (name) Removed — App name can no longer request info about you on Facebook but may still have info you previously shared with them. For details about removing this info, contact them or visit APP Name’s privacy policy."

Finally, select DONE button.
